YOLO pauses in Michigan Oct 2022

My Mom made this gorgeous king-sized quilt for me and Jason.  A work of art and love she'd been holding for us while we traveled.  Thanks, Mom.

With global warming, the arrival of autumn was about a month later than normal.  This allowed us to get back in time to see the gorgeous fall colors around our cottage.
The maples this year are going brilliant red in many locations.
Jason scraping moss off the roof of the 'fruit market', our storage garage.  Trying to get a few more years out of the roof shingles.
More maple color along the wetlands.
Event the oaks are turning deep  red this year, trying to keep up with the maples, I guess.
Jason on our cottage's garage, scraping more moss.  His jeans got so dirty and worn from scooching around on the rooves and then working under the van that I hesitated to even try to wash them. Perhaps they'd be a laundry experiment...
This candy apple red roadster pulled into The Home Depot while I was waiting for Jason to come out.  It was billowing smoke from the engine and I thought it was going to burst into flames.  The owner thought something must've leaked onto the headers.  A kindly soul gave him a bottle of water to cool the pipes and the smoke quickly cleared.
A pretty view of the gold birch through a stand of pines.
Wet leaves in the foliage next to our driveway.
The last sunrise before we leave Michigan, heading for Mexico.
All the crap from the van in our living room that needs to be reloaded into the YOLO van.
Our personalized license plate as we head off on our Mexican adventure.
